FCCO Presented concerts in Latvia to Mark the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Ties between China and Latvia
On October 4, China Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra (FCCO) presented a concert of classic Chinese music with traditional instruments at the Foreign Art Museum in Riga. H. E. Hu Yeshun, Ambassador of China, H. E. Girts Valdis Kristovskis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Honorable Sergejs Mirskis, Vice Chairman, Latvia-China Parliamentary Group, Honorable Andris Pelss, Foreign Policy Adviser of the State President of Latvia, Honorable Uģis Bambe, Foreign Affairs Adviser of the Speaker of Saeima and other officials of Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education of Latvia etc., artists of various circles of Latvia, some Ambassadors accredited to Latvia, representatives of the Chinese companies, Chinese compatriots and personalities of various circles, altogether 180 people, attended the concert.
The Chinese artists presented respectively the following classic Chinese music with traditional instruments and some foreign pieces :
Jackdaws Play in the Water, Traditional Piece from Chaozhou Orchestra; Flying Partridge, Dizi Solo; Dreaming beside the Plum Blossom; Drunk Dancing Devarajas; The King of Chu Doffs His Armour, Pipa Solo;
