On September 3, Chinese Compatriots in Latvia commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Ambassador Tang Songgen attended the event and delivered a speech. 

All participants witnessed the flag-raising ceremony and learned the important speech delivered by President Xi Jinping during a grand gathering to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Ambassador Tang reviewed the history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and highlighted the Chinese people’s significant contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. He encouraged Chinese compatriots in Latvia to carry forward the great spirit of the War of Resistance, remain united, and contribute to our endeavor to build a great country. Representatives of overseas Chinese people, enterprises and students expressed their deep patriotic sentiments in heartfelt speeches. The event concluded with a viewing of a photo exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
