“Shen Yun ” is NOT an authentic Chinese arts show, but a performance sponsored by Falun Gong, a cult banned by the Chinese government since July 1999.

Like many other cults in the world, Falun Gong has the nature of being anti-humankind, anti-science and anti-society. It practices cult leader worship, spreads fallacies, exercises mind control, ruins human lives and endangers society.

One of the most notorious claim of Falun Gong is that the doomsday is coming, that human beings will be extinct soon, that modern science can do nothing to prevent the catastrophe, that only Falun Gong can save mankind. Many Falun Gong practitioners were driven into such intense fear by these heresies that they became insane and even committed suicide or killed their loved ones.

A former American dancer for “Shen Yun Performing Arts”, filed a lawsuit on November 25, 2024 in Federal District Court in White Plains, New York, accusing “Shen Yun” and its leaders of forced labor and children trafficking.

In episodes of the podcast “Was I In A Cult?” released on October 7 and 14, Angela, a young Asian American whose parents practice Falun Gong, recounted her experience in “a world where karma is not just a bitch, but a force that can dictate life and death… with suffering seen as path to salvation and modern medicine demonized as an obstacle to spiritual purity”.
