Notice-China Online Visa Application and Appointment for Visa Application for Submission to be Adopted

In order to provide better visa application service, the Chinese Embassy in Latvia will implement online systems for filling in visa application form and scheduling for a visa application appointment on July 1, 2018. Visa Applicants are kindly requested to fill in visa application form online at the China Online Visa Application or COVA (https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn), followed by scheduling an appointment online at the Appointment for Visa Application Submission or AVAS(https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn) before submitting the visa application.

Starting from August 1, 2018, only visa applications through COVA and AVAS are accepted.

Please be noted of the following:

1. When processing online, the applicant must successfully upload the electronic photo that meets the system requirements.

2. After completing the COVA form, the applicant must print the visa confirmation page and application form automatically generated by the system and sign it.

3. After completing the COVA form, the applicant must make an appointment for the period (Monday and Friday from 10:00 to 12:00, Wednesday from 14:30 to 16:30, except holidays) and bring the visa confirmation page, application form and other documents to the Chinese Embassy.

4. Visa application fees and required materials are not subject to change. For more in detail, please visit the following pages:
