The 5th Latvian Preliminary Round for Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition, sponsored by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Latvia and co-organized by the University of Latvia, the Confucius Centre of Riga Stradins University, Daugavpils University, Vidzeme University College, will be held at 10:00 am, on May 4, 2008. Sponsored by the Office of Chinese Language Council International and co-sponsored by the Education Commission of Hunan Province, the semi and the final round will be held in China from June 18 to July 25.The theme of this competition is: Fervour with Olympics, Fun with Chinese.

All Latvian Citizens are welcome to participate in the competition. The registration work will begin on April 3,2008 and end on April 15. The registration form can be downloaded through the Embassy's website and more information of Chinese Bridge Competition can be found in the website.
